Group GB decathlete Ben Gregory is battling for life in the wake of being engaged with a serious bicycle crash.
The Welsh athlete, 31, broke his skull and neck and has experienced numerous mind hemorrhages, his accomplice Naomi Heffernan shared on Instagram.
Ms Heffernan posted on her accounts that Gregory was 'in a state of extreme lethargy and in a coma'.
'I've never felt so terrified, powerless and debilitated to the stomach,' she composed.
'Ben needs your positive considerations and petitions to God at this moment.
'Those that realize Ben know major areas of strength for how is intellectually and truly, he's a warrior and he'll traverse this.'
She asked fans to appeal to God for himself and send 'every one of the positive considerations and energy you can assemble'.
Gregory addressed Great Britain and went after Wales in the Commonwealth Games at Delhi in 2010, Glasgow in 2014, and the 2018 challenge on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Ms Heffernan said thanks to fans for their help, adding that it would be a 'drawn out, difficult experience to recuperation' yet she has 'each confidence' the competitor would 'get through'.
'He has such a great amount to live for and that will help him through this.'
The terrible mishap has provoked a flood of help via web-based entertainment for Gregory, presently a fitness coach and mentor.
Welsh Olympian Kelly Sotherton posted on her Instagram stories that Gregory had been 'hit by a vehicle while on his bicycle', portraying him as an 'outright warrior'.
Resigned twofold Paralympian 1500m sprinter, Stephen Morris, portrayed Gregory as 'one of the most pleasant I've met during my sports days' and encouraged him to 'continue to battle'.
Welsh Athletics portrayed Gregory as the country's 'most prominent ever decathlete'.
The association said in an explanation: 'Our contemplations and petitions to heaven are with Ben's loved ones right now.
'Ben's achievements as a competitor represent themselves: Wales' most prominent ever decathlete - three Commonwealth Games, the Welsh record holder and addressing Wales and Great Britain on various occasions.
'Each and every individual who has had the honor of preparing or contending close by Ben will talk about his unbelievable love of life, his consideration, backing, and devotion.
'We will all keep on petitioning God for a full recuperation for Ben.'
